In the space of a few short weeks, it feels as if there has been some very significant changes which will impact trade and customs. The UK budget delivered firm timelines on some customs measures such as the UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the axing of the Single Trade Window. More widely, the UK will shortly accede to the Trans-Pacific Partnership and the election of President Trump is likely to alter the trading relationship between the UK and the US.
