“With the Prime Minister calling a General Election on 4th July, the Civil Service, including HMRC, has very much withdrawn all but essential engagement with trade, and that has essentially limited conversation to the implementation of CDS for Export and NCTS 5. However, this provides us an excellent opportunity to regroup around members’ priorities for the new Parliament, irrespective of which party may form the Government on July 5th. In addition to discussing the core changes, we plan to have a deep-dive into an area of the member’s choice, with our suggestion being the importance of customs valuation and why it can be a risk to your business.
