+44 (0) 2476 414 999In December 2015 staff at the Federation of Sports and Play Associations decided to support Operation Christmas Child by providing shoe boxes filled with goodies for disadvantaged children.
We have learned today, our small token of festively wrapped boxes, were amongst 172,844 shoe boxes sent to Romania from the UK.
Operations Christmas Child enables children all over the globe to experience the joy of a simple shoe box gift and the hope that comes with knowing they are loved and not forgotten.
Our boxes contained colouring pens and pencils, gloves, toothbrushes and toothpaste, toys, sweets,
face clothes, stationery, hair slides all of which seem small gestures but brought huge smiles to these children’s faces.
The simplest of gifts make a huge impact one of the children stated that she was so pleased to receive a toothbrush of her own and toothpaste as her family could not afford them and she was grateful that she didn’t now have to use a stick to clean her teeth.

It’s great to be part of an organisation that campaigns for investment in children’s play facilities and which raises the standards of the entire industry.
Having the support of the FSPA behind us is tremendously beneficial and greatly enhances the offering to our membership.
I have been a member of SPE for many years now and every member shows a 100% commitment to promote participation in sport and play in the UK.
It’s sometimes difficult to get heard when you stand on your own. But when you're part of a respected body like the FSPA, people listen and things start to happen.
The opportunity to meet with like-minded people across our sector to discuss some of the challenges is always invaluable.
Working together as a group of companies creates a stronger voice for the play industry, which benefits both suppliers and customers.
